Coming Home

Out of the mist above the mountains
Across the rivers deep and wide
A storm is brewing on the ocean
You are the shelter that I find
Far across the ocean waves
I’m coming home again
Sure as the sun rise every morning
Sure as the stars appear at night
I reach my final destination
A better feeling hard to find
Far across the ocean waves
I’m coming home again
By my side

Brother
04:10
|

I lie awake at night
Think of what I could have been
My fears have learnt to swim
Falling to my knees I call
A name into the wind
The troubles on my mind
I tell myself it fades with time
My head is in my hands
Falling to my knees I fall
And hit the earth below
And every time we take a chance its sink or swim
A time we laugh about the places we have been
Even now I see the light and it never ends
Deep inside I scream aloud at everything within
Iv nothing left to lose
But ask me what I have to gain
My life is passing by
I walk the shadows 'til the day
Scattered to the wind
And every time we take a chance its sink or swim
A time we laugh about the places we have been
Even now I see the light and it never ends
Deep inside I scream aloud at everything within
Again
And again
My life is yours to give
And all the blood will drain away
As I'm born again
I am heading to the grave
I lie awake at night
Think of what I could have been
A name into the wind

Time

Time
Is the greatest healer
But what about today?
Life
Flashing through the embers
It burns and fades away
As I feel like the world is ending
And Iv seen enough today
Wont you please provide an answer
And show me the way
Why
Did I ever offer
And how did it end this way?
I
will rise through the ashes
But it pulls me down today
As I feel like the world is ending
And Iv seen enough today
Wont you please provide an answer
And show me the way

Reflection
03:51
|
|||
Walking through the woods today
A mental picture guides my way
I gaze across to the other side
The wind is whispering your denial
The trees are lost to memory
Roots held back by concrete and steel
A vicious circle back around
Wilderness so quickly drowned
And what I saw in my reflection was a time I wasn't free
Streaming forth a new religion that never answered to me
The answers cant be seen or read
They never enter into your head
You cannot look me in the eye
We sit and watch our country die
The trees are lost to memory
Roots held back by concrete and steel
A vicious circle back around
Wilderness so quickly drowned
And what I saw in my reflection was a time I wasn't free
Streaming forth a new religion that never answered to me
A lack of care, a lack of vision leaves a bitter taste for me
An old world, a new decision that never satisfied me
The trees are lost to memory
Roots held back by concrete and steel
A vicious circle back around
Wilderness so quickly drowned

Traveller
05:03
|
|||
Will we waken from this dream
Find out what it means
What will I leave behind this time
Hard to visualise
As the leaves begin to fall
Times against us all
Will you leave a memory
For me?
Weary traveller on the road
His thoughts forever drifting home
The world will pass you by again
Will I ever reach the end?
This is harder than it seems
Planned out in front of me
Torn between the open road
And benefits at home
Life in limbo hard to take
Empty days fall away
Cursed the traveller within
Cant escape this skin
Weary traveller on the road
His thoughts forever drifting home
The world will pass you by again
Will I ever reach the end?
Will I ever reach the end?

Singer Songwriter based in Manchester. It is hard to define a genre for my music but its is generally based around acoustic instruments. The majority is quite deep and relaxing and revolves around vocal harmonies and counter melodies.
